The Serpent and the Fruit

He is a myth with many forms and with many names: Satan, Lucipher, the Devil, The Prince of Darkness, the Fallen Angel, the serpent, the dragon, the deceiver, the enemy . My new meditative experiences are forcing me to reconsider my position on this beautiful figure . Yes, beautiful . If you follow me, you detect that I have an obsession with darkness, with the void, with ruin, and with the serpent . I do . But I also know that darkness when approached with love instantly becomes light . This is my obsession with the void: when you step into it blindly and surrender, you evoke your greatest brilliance within it . Any truth confronted in darkness, with love and without fear, becomes a blessing, a lightness . Even misfortune is fortune to those who are awake . So, let’s walk into the center of this darkness, and evoke the light on the subject of the serpent, and why loving him is the path to Eden .

The serpent is the trickster that gets you to consume the fruit, the fruit of the tree, the Tree of Knowledge of “Good and Evil” . This is important . Good and evil . Now, consider God as we have been considering him: as All, as you and I, as the wind, the sunlight, moonlight, starlight, love, and the process of evolution, the process of existence, bliss, meditation, and again, you and I . So, when you see this model, it tells you that nothing is separate from existence . Not even the serpent . What makes the serpent not of God, not of us? Yes, he is a wise figure that will always exist . He is a part of existence itself .

The serpent is the idleness of God on the seventh day, the day when he rested . In evolutionary terms, Satan is the primal urges . In spiritual terms, he is the unconscious mind . He is the gatekeeper to bliss, to Eden, to meditation, and he covets the garden enough to ask you a riddle before you enter . A riddle to fool you, or to deem you worthy of entry . Remember that the serpent is a part of us and a part of God, but the serpent is fictional, an idea meant to make you realize: the only one stopping you from entering bliss is yourself .

We are the serpent . We come forth before the gateway into bliss and we riddle ourselves and confuse ourselves away from it, just as Adam and Eve did . The riddle is the fruit . The knowledge of good and evil . The illusion of separateness . The rule is: that which feels separate from the whole of existence is the ego, for we cannot inherently exist . Like a tree, we are just a multitude of complex relationships with the universe: with the air, the sun, the moon, the stars, the soil, with everything alive . Even the serpent must crawl on its belly, he knows this because he is wise, but he will still try to trick you . The original sin isn’t knowledge . Knowledge is clutter, hollow on its own . The original sin is the illusion of separateness . The blindfold over our eyes that makes us fight existence . The blindfold of impotence, that makes us desire and makes us ambitious .

Realize and affirm that you are God and the serpent . You are ALL and the ego . Life and its light will shower you in blossoms if you only stop being the trickster in yer own life . If you stop fooling yourself with the fruit, with the illusion of separateness, you will learn to not resist, and in non-resistance lies the garden .

Jim Morrison said that if you kiss the serpent on the tongue with fear, he will swallow you whole . But if you kiss the serpent with strength, he will let you through into the ancient garden . The garden is meditation, and meditation isn’t saying OAM or resisting yer thoughts . No, meditation is reminding yourself at no point are you separate, from life, from others, from nature, or from “the grand scheme” . Meditation is trusting that you are a part of the process, and the by-product of that awareness, of that awakening, is non-resistance . That is what meditation is: the awakening, the return to silence, to innocence, to knowing you are one with God, to bliss . Ignore the fruit and ride the snake, and he will lead you to the ancient lake .
